Abstract

One of the problems facing pregnant women around the world is anxiety, which is very important for a healthy and successful pregnancy. In the third trimester, which lasts between 28 and 40 weeks, pregnant women who are about to give birth to a child may experience anxiety. Untreated anxiety can harm pregnant women from pregnancy to delivery, such as premature birth or miscarriage. Anxiety can cause the fetus to become restless, which hinders fetal development and weakens uterine muscle contractions. Pregnant women in the third trimester who cannot let go of anxiety and fear before giving birth release stress hormones, also known as ketocolamine. High concentrations of this hormone can cause longer labor, greater labor pain, and tension during labor. This study aimed to determine the relationship between husband's support and anxiety of third-trimester pregnant women at the Gamping II Yogyakarta Community Health Center. This research uses a correlational analytic survey and a cross-sectional time approach. This research involved 148 people. The number of samples taken was 59 respondents, and the sampling technique was accidental. Primary data was collected through questionnaires. There is a significant relationship between husband's support and third-trimester pregnant women's anxiety in facing childbirth at the Gamping II Community Health Center, with a p-value of 0.029 and a correlation level of 0.328. The results of data analysis using chi-square analysis show a significant relationship between the two with a low category of relationship. To reduce the anxiety of pregnant women in the third trimester regarding childbirth, it is hoped that the mother will understand her condition better and have a husband who always supports her
