Building Self-Image On Instagram (Study of phenomena among students at SMK Patria Gadingrejo)
Abstract
This research is based on that building self-image through Instagram social media, such as wanting to appear show off in front of followers By uploading photos of her luxury items to Instagram just for the sake of to get the Like button and comments. Instagram usage like this is just a tool to express herself on social media, but it is not in accordance with his real life. The objectives of this study are to find out the influence of self-image formation at SMK Patria Gadingrejo. The type of research that is carried out in this study is the method correlational. The population of this study is 150 students and the sample is 30 student. Data analysis techniques using data normality tests, data linearity, and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of the study, it shows that there are the Instagram Used to building Self-Image of students. This tested using a hypothesis test that is calculated by The result of Pearson's correlation value is 0.641 and the significant value is 0.000 < 0.05 which This means that there is a significant influence between Instagram user variables on the variables of building the self-image .
