TIME OF IMPLEMENTATION, COMPLETED EQUIPMENT AND TRAINING RELATED TO HEALTHCARE’S IMPLEMENTATION OF ANTENATAL CARE STANDARDS: A CROSS – SECTIONAL STUDY

Abstract

According to mother-to-child mortality remains high in Indonesia, this analytic descriptive study was identifying the Time of Implementation, Completed Equipment and Training Related to healthcare’s Standard Implementation of Antenatal Care (ANC). Monitoring the progress of pregnant women’s health is through Antenatalcare examinations, Health services for pregnant women must meet the minimum frequency in each trimester (0 - 12 weeks’ gestation), at least once in the second trimester (weeks 12 – 24 weeks’ gestation), and at least twice in the third trimester (24 weeks of gestation until delivery). 44 respondentswere consist nurses and midwives.Using descriptive statistics for data analyzed. WHO standard on ANC was containing the Time of Implementation and Equipment Accessories substances, then for training was source from healthcare's interview. The analysis found that <4 times visiting ANC by respondents were 13.6%, incomplete equipment were 81.8%, Never received training were 77.3% and in accordance ANC implementation were 77.3% also. Unrelated time of implementation with implementation ANC standard were on p - 0.606, related result of completed equipment with implementation ANC standard (p - .000), and related too for training program to Healthcare’s Implementation of Antenatal Care Standards (p - .000). Time visiting, incomplete equipment and the experience training of Healthcare are needed to success and comprehensives ANC. Successfulness of implementation ANC according to standards has something to do with the ability of healthcare who come from training, completeness of equipment. The implementation of ANC standard was measured by direct observation.
