Abstract

Nursing care documentation is evidence of records and reports owned by nurses in providing nursing care that is useful for the benefit of clients, nurses and other health teams. Incomplete nursing care documentation is still one of the most common problems in the nursing care process for clients. The importance of high motivation is owned by nurses because motivation is one of the factors that contribute to the completion of nursing care documentation. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nurse motivation and the completeness of nursing care documentation at Pringsewu Hospital in 2022. This research design uses correlation analytics with a cross sectional approach. In sampling using total sampling technique with a total of 43 respondents. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire on the use of nurse motivation and observation of the completeness of nursing care documentation. The results of data analysis using Chi-Square obtained p-value = 0.040 or α <0.05. This means that there is a relationship between nurse motivation and the completeness of nursing care documentation with an odd ratio value (OR = 6,500), which means that respondents with low motivation criteria always have a 6,500 times greater risk of inadequacy in filling out nursing care documentation. It is hoped that this research can provide a source of knowledge and can add insight, especially in the field of nursing about nurse motivation towards the completeness of nursing care documentation.
