Factors Associated With Death In Confirmed Cases Of Covid-19 In Metro City, Lampung Indonesia
Abstract
Backgrounds: The pandemic of Covid 19 occurs in the worlds and caused of death. Mortality from COVID-19 shows a strong relationship with age and pre-existing medical conditions. The purpose of this study is to analyze factors associated with death in confirmed cases of COVID -19 in Metro City, Lampung Indonesia. Methods: Retrospective cohort study using data from the ongoing recapitulation by Gugus covid of Metro City, Lampung Indonesia from April 20 th 2020 to December 14 th 2021. We evaluated age , comorbidity status and demographic of all confirmed cases in association with death. Results: Confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Metro City, until December 14 th 2021, 2688 Cases were found 43.9% male sex, 56.1% female. Age 61 years (15.1%). Confirmed cases with no comorbidity (92.3%), with comorbidity (7.7%). Regions in Central Confirmed (23.8%), East Metro comorbidity North Metro comorbidity West Regions (18.1%), South Metro (8.6%). Healed (93.4%) and death (6.6%). Factors that were shown to be associated with death in confirm cases of Covid 19 were older age (p = 0.00) and confirm case (p 0.113) and region (p> 0.412) was not proven to comorbidity associated with death. OR Conclusion: older age = years, and comorbidity associated while death.
