Personal Hygiene of Students on The Event of Scabies in Jabal An-Nur Islamic Boarding School Pondok Betung Bandar Lampung
Abstrak
Personal Hygiene (self-hygiene) is self-care that is carried out to maintain personal hygiene and health, both physically and mentally. One type of skin disease that is still a health problem is scabies where this disease is an infectious skin disease caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei homini variant. This disease is often considered normal, even underestimated by sufferers. Whereas this disease has the potential to cause secondary infections by harmful bacteria. Secondary infections arise due to scratching wounds so that bacteria can enter through scratching wounds from open skin. The incidence of scabies reaches 300 million cases each year and Indonesia ranks third out of twelve skin diseases that cause scabies. often suffered, in the province of Lampung scabies cases increased in 2014 amounting to 2941 people and most occurred in densely populated locations. This study aims to see the description of Personal Hygiene of students on the incidence of scabies at the Jabal An-Nur Islamic Boarding School in Teluk Betung, Bandar Lampung. Descriptive research design with a total of 49 respondents. Sampling technique with random sampling. The results obtained are the majority of bad personal hygiene 29 respondents (59.2%), and good personal hygiene 20 respondents (40.8%). boarding school administrators with the local health team to conduct health education in disease prevention efforts.
