Differences of Sexual Dysfunction Using Progestin Injection Contraception and Combination Injections in Rejosari Public Health Center

Abstrak

The background of the study is that because the number of injection contraceptive acceptors is increasing, it is necessary to watch out for and anticipates possible side effects that can occur. One of the side effects of using injectable contraceptives decreases libido. The aim of the study was to determine the difference in sexual dysfunction between the use of progestin injection contraceptives and combination injections in the working area of ​​the Rejosari Pringsewu Health Center. The research methodology uses a research design that is used for this study with a cross-sectional approach, while the type of research uses comparative analytics, namely comparing two or more groups of a certain variable with a sample of 112 respondents. The time and place are carried out in February – April 2021 and is located within the area of ​​the Rejosari Health Center, Pringsewu Regency. The results from the Mann-Whitney test with a significant level (α) = 0.01 I resulted in a p-value = 0.400 and where p> 0.01. Conclusion There is no significant difference between the use of progestin injection hormonal contraceptives and combinations with sexual dysfunction in the Rejosari Health Center Work Area. Suggestions in the use of hormonal contraceptives can be assessed for side effects at each visit.
